Often my phone will be in my pocket and I accidentally hold down the play button which opens up the media player and starts a song. How do I disable this?

I have the same problem and i asked at the verizon store and they said it can't be disabled.

Have you tried putting your phone inside a padded leather case? Instead of the buttons being the same height as the body of the phone, the buttons would be lower and less likely from being held down.

FYI: Forum is still having Style/CSS problems.

wat i do is, i go into the player and i put the volume to the lowest or i put it on mute, so if i accidentaly push the play button the music will play but no one will hear it, or you could just lock the phone

I have version 03 on my VX8300 and the external player buttons are completely disabled, and there is no way for me to enable them.

Sounds like a phone problem. In no way does V03 disable the front buttons.

Good idea! I will just use the phone lock function. Thanks! :D
